FEEL THE LOVE, 9TH WONDER
When hiphop meets soul. This is how I could define this experiment. Daru Jones is wellkonwn elsewhere by his skills as beatmaker/drummer and Rena as a singer ( her background comes from gospel ). Easy, they are Daru & Rena.
Why I’m posting this track? 9th Wonder has been one of my fav hiphop producers for years, specially as a digger ( like Kev Brown or Just Blaze <—- the best, diggin’ the crates so far ), and circa 2009 Daru & Rena released an Ep called Producers Luv Tribute. I can say Dilla, Pete Rock, Nicolay , 9th Wonder, the Roots and Dj Premier, re*edited by Daru and Rena singing over the track.
What else? That 9th Wonder production probably is on my Top 5 from Wonder’s tracklist.
